Firestarter Arts and THE UNIT

Firestarter Arts is the CIC (Comunity Interest Company) I founded in 2009 in order to work with like minded associates to provide creative opportunities for young people and support those who work with them.

Firestarter Arts’ first major project is THE UNIT – a project which took over an empty shop in Salisbury city centre in order to work with young people to improve opportunities to get involved. The project now employs two people, has 10 adult volunteers, is working with hundreds of young people, has just won the Wiltshire Council/NHS Community Leadership award for 2011, and continues to grow at an astonishing rate! Check it out here:

Firestarter Arts is currently cooking something else up – if you have ideas and want to chuck them around with us get in touch!
